专家介绍: Mingyang Wei is an incoming presidential young professor at the National University of Singapore. He was a scientist at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) with Prof. Michael Graetzel. His research focuses on the synthesis and photophysical understanding of solution-processed semiconductors toward better single junction and tandem solar cells, luminescent solar concentrators, and optical modulators. He was awarded a Governor General's Gold Medal (Canada) and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship for research excellence. In addition, he was named a Forbes 30 under 30 (Europe) and Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers in 2022 and 2023.

Heterostructures combine semiconductors with different functionalities, synergizing desirable optical, electronic, and structural properties, or even creating entirely new optoelectronic phenomena for advanced applications. In this talk, I detail my work on the development of hybrid organic-inorganic heterostructures for next-generation optoelectronics.
