报告摘要
Nanostructures for energy devices and flexible electronics: (1) Nanostructured paper with 1D wood cellulose for solar cells, batteries and flexible electronics. I will discuss: the novel transparent paper with tailored properties, and applications in flexible electronics, origami devices and solar cells; the fundamental advantages of using mesoporous ,soft wood fibers for low-cost Na-ion batteries. (2) 2D materials in energy devices. I will discuss the manipulations of electrons, ions, and photons in scalable paper-like thin films with 2D materials. Examples include our work on intercalation optoelectronics on graphene, high-performance supercapactiors and Na-ion batteries, and thermal management with BN nanosheets.
报告人简介:Dr. Hu received B.S. in physics from the university of Science and Technology of China in 2002. He did his Ph.D. at UCLA, focusing on carbon nanotube nanoelectronics. In 2006, he joined Unidym Inc. as a co-founding scientist, where his worked on the development of roll-roll printed carbon nanotube transparent electrodes and device for touch screens. LCDs and solar cells. He worked at Stanford University from 2009-2011 on energy decices based on nanomaterials. Currently, he is an assistant professor at University of Maryland College Park. His research includes nanomaterials and nanostructures, nanomanufacturing for energy storage and printed electronics.
