About the SRAFS
Sino-Russian Association of Fundamental Sciences (SRAFS) is jointly launched by Peking University and Lomonosov Moscow State University, together with many top universities from both China and Russia. It aims to advance the integrated development of education, science, technology and talent cultivation in the field of basic sciences between the two countries. Focusing on major frontier issues in basic disciplines including mathematics, physics, chemistry, life sciences and earth sciences, the association continuously unlocks the potential of international cooperation in cutting-edge fields.
Overview of the Summer School
Stimulate the interest of outstanding Chinese and Russian university students in fundamental sciences. Adopt an innovative model of general academic literacy + in-depth disciplinary exploration, and carry out learning exchanges and practical experiences with distinctive Chinese cultural features. Enhance mutual understanding of each other’s science, education and culture, consolidate the friendship bridge between young people of the two countries, and promote mutual learning in the training models for top talents in basic disciplines between China and Russia.

Application Prerequisites
1. The program will last from July 12, 2026 to July 19, 2026. The classes will be held at the Beijing campus of PKU.
2. Applicants can be undergraduate students who are interested in optics and photonics.
3. Applicants are required to submit certificates to prove their English proficiency.
